Most equipment for classes is easily fond at home or there are alternatives you can find at home instead of having to purchase them at a store. If you have specific modifications you are concerned about feel free to contact Dr. Sarah Petrich, PT for some other ideas. ie: equipment & modifications for sensitive wrists, modifications if you can't kneel etc.
TYPICAL MAT CLASS / floor exercise PROPS
EVERY MAT CLASS:
Pilates or Yoga Mat
4 - 6 inch ball
Carpet, blanket, rug
Rolled up towel
Paper towel roll
Dog toy or stuffed animal
Used to provide a comfortable surface for floor exercises. Pilates mats are thicker than yoga mats.
Used primarily for side lying exercises for proper neck alignment and to decrease neck strain.
Used for repositioning and inner thigh exercises.
