CLASSES AND PRIVATE SESSIONS

Below is a reference for all the basics of getting started.

PREPARE YOUR TECHNOLOGY

1. CHOOSE YOUR DEVICE
    Must have a camera that connects to the internet:
  • Laptop (with camera/webcam. speakers & sufficient memory)
  • Tablet or Smartphone with at least iOS or Android 6.0 installed
2. HAVE GOOD INTERNET CONNECTION (10 Mbps in strength)
3. DOWNLOAD THE ZOOM APP - It's free! or follow the browser instructions for downloading ZOOM when you click on your appointment link.
​      **ZOOM will not work well with Safari browser (use Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Edge, or Opera)

SUGGESTED CAMERA PLACEMENT

PRIVATE SESSIONS & MAT CLASSES:
AT YOUR DESK CLASSES:
FOR LAPTOP OR MOBILE DEVICE WITH A STAND
  • Waist height or higher
  • Tip camera downward so you can see the entire mat on the floor
  • Camera placed at an angle to your mat (not facing straight on towards the mat)
  • Waist height
  • Arrange device as vertical as possible so you can see the floor
  • Profile view of you sitting or standing at your desk
FOR TABLETS OR SMARTPHONES
  • On floor
  • Arrange device as vertical as possible so you can see the entire mat on the floor
  • Camera placed at an angle to your mat (not facing straight on towards the mat)​
  • Waist height
  • Arrange device as vertical as possible so you can see the floor
  • Profile view of you sitting or standing at your desk


LIGHTING

  • Try to avoid bright light behind you (like a window)
  • Try to have brightest light behind the camera or above
